Object Description
Circa 1880. A good George III style mahogany and inlaid two door robe. The moulded cornice with dentilled detail beneath and frieze with broad inlay. To the front a pair of doors with double panels, each of the panels in flame mahogany with string inlay and carved beading. Inside the wardrobe there is uninterrupted hanging, plus a brass rail and hooks to the sides, beneath the doors there is further moulding and, in the base, a full-length drawer with cast brass oval handles and further inlay. The wardrobe stands on four squat splayed French style bracket feet.
