A super pair of antique silver basting spoons of plain design and long slender handles. Prettily engraved with a bright cut thistle pattern and diamond borders. Each has an arm crest with dagger.

These useful spoons can be used for serving vegetables or ladling gravy and would make a perfect addition to any table setting.
Marks. Stamped on the back of the handle with a full set of Irish silver hallmarks.
Literature: The basting spoon, also known as a gravy spoon, was larger than a table spoon and was used for basting roast meats. Nowadays they are usually used as serving spoons.
