George III Mahogany Deception Table in the form of a Pembroke Table with false leaves one of which drops down to reveal two compartments, the whole raised on square tapered legs terminating in brass cups and casters.

Circa 1780

Price: £1,600-00p.

NB. It is interesting to see the text from Thomas Sheraton’s Cabinet Dictionary where he goes into the use of these tables in some detail.
