Object Description
Circa 1810. A good George III mahogany four door breakfront secretaire cabinet bookcase. The stylish moulded cornice with raised pediment to the center. The glazed astragal doors retaining the original glass, inside each section there are three adjustable shelves. A large double secretaire drawer to the front with oval panels and knob handles, opens to reveal a well fitted interior, pigeon holes, narrow drawers and a small cupboard in the middle with secret drawer behind it. Beneath this there is a configuration of three full length drawers graduating from top to bottom. On each side of the secretaire there is one large drawer with a cupboard beneath, the cupboard has adjustable shelves on the inside. All resting on an enclosed mahogany plinth.
