George III Period Mahogany and Coromandel Chest of Drawers. The top has re-entrant front corners. This chest has two short drawers and three graduated long drawers flanked by Coromandel (Macasser Ebony) Quartered Doric Columns, the drawers have swan neck brass handles with brass backplates and escutcheons. The whole is raised on ogee shaped bracket feet,

Note: There is a secret compartment hidden behind one of the drawers. It is exceptionally rare to find a Chippendale Period Mahogany chest with the front flanking quartered columns executed in Coromandel.
