An early 19th century George III sterling silver serving spoon.
The spoon has hall marks for London, the year 1807, the head of George III and the maker’s mark for Peter & William Bateman.
Peter & William Bateman were brothers from the famous Bateman family of silversmiths.
The oval bowl has a long slim handle that has a griffin engraved at the tip and the assay and hall marks on the back.
The spoon is in good condition. (Circa 1807)
