Object Description
Circa 1900. An interesting George III style mahogany and inlaid demi-lune fold over card table. The top which is profusely inlaid with swags, ribbons, shell, harebells in various wood, including boxwood, satinwood, purpleheart and flame mahogany, the top is hinged and opens to reveal a felt lined interior with broad cross-banding, the fore-edges are ribbed with a simple frieze framed in boxwood inlay. The two back legs are hinged and swing out to support the top when open, all resting on four square tapering legs, with inlay on the facings framed by boxwood, finishing on an elegant splayed toes.
