Object Description
Circa 1820, a George IV mahogany and rattan folding campaign bed with the makers label of ‘Louison, 35 Piccadilly Manchester 189 Bowl Street Liverpool and on the right 154 Brigget Street Leeds’. The top in three section, two hinged, framed in mahogany with rattan panels, can be lifted and adjusted by an underside rachet. The base in mahogany with a side rail similar to the top, all resting on six monumental ring turned legs, finishing on a massive brass cup, with large brown porcelain castors beneath. This would make a fantastic centre stool.
