Object Description
Circa 1830, George IV freestanding mahogany library table. The rectangular top with thumb-moulded edge and new gilt-tooled red leather writing surface over a narrow beaded frieze. This is supported on Renaissance-style trestles with deeply carved lotus flowers, garlands and rosettes on both sides, with the edges carved with claw feet. These are both connected by a turned and block stretcher and all over neat rectangular pedestals with hidden brass and porcelain castors.
