Object Description
Circa 1825. A quality George IV plum pudding mahogany fold over tea table. The rectangular top with lovely figuring, polished fore-edge, and the top opens and swivels to show a well-polished interior with similar figuring as the top. The well beneath the top is in mahogany (sign of quality), with a shaped frieze, the table rests on a quality flame mahogany octagonal tapering stem with a carved dragooned and flared collar, all resting on a large shaped platform base resting on four carved and fluted feet with concealed castors beneath.
