George Jones Majolica Rams Head Vase

Object Description

George Jones Majolica vase which features ram heads supporting the elaborate handles. Berry decoration to the handles. Colouration: cobalt blue, white, yellow, are predominant. Bears a pattern number, ‘W’. Book reference ,’George Jones Ceramics 1861-1951′ by Robert Cluett, page 45, figure 52.

Object Condition

Generally Good. RESTORATION. Two handles reglued and joins retouched. Stabilised and retouched crack to underneath rim (still slightly visible to outside). A few retouched flakes.
