Object Description

A superb Georgian 15 karat rose, green and yellow gold chalcedony Maltese cross pendant circa 1830. The square shaped chyrosprase is surrounded by a split pearl cluster with vari-shade foliate detailing in 15 karat rose, green and yellow gold. The chalcedony cross surrounds this central cluster. A vacant glazed panel is placed at the back of the cluster, all suspended from a later (Early 20th Century) trace chain, stamped ’15ct’. This is a superb example from the late Georgian era and in immaculate condition.

Object Condition

This pendant is in excellent condition. The gold work is sound, the pearls with good, matching lustre and are all intact with the chysoprase too. There is a very minor chip to the corner of the chalcedony which does not detract from the overall beauty of the piece when worn.
