Object Description
An Extremely Good Quality Late 18th Century Mahogany Bowfronted Dressing Table, Of Good Large Proportion, With Well Figured Top Over One Long And Two Short Drawers Having Replacement Brass Knobs, Raised On Elegant Square Tapering Legs With Attractive Boxwood Strung Decoration Throughout.
This well proportioned 18th century dressing table is of excellent quality, constructed from high grade, rich, mahogany timbers and its extremely well put together so to speak. The boxwood strung decoration is also a nice touch, adding further elegance to the table.
Despite being replacements the brass knobs sit extremely well on the table and are probably as old as the table themselves so very much in keeping and natural on the piece.
Of slightly larger proportions than is standard for an antique dressing table we think thats a great thing and makes this lovely table even more practical than normal. It would of course suit a huge variety of spots around the home and could be used for a huge variety of purposes, not just as a dressing table.
As with all items which we offer for sale this antique dressing table has been inspected and attended to by our highly skilled, well trained, specialist antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish before being placed on sale, to ensure it is ready for immediate placement and use within the home.
