common form and design for a period produced with extra
large proportions. There are many “masters” whom these
chairs would have been made for but some obvious examples
are masonic leaders, school masters, council leaders and heads
of households. Basically anybody in a position of authority
would feasibly have had a Masters Chair produced to ensure that
when sat amongst their group it is obvious that they are the leader)
