Late 18th to early 19th century Georgian mahogany cheval dressing mirror.
The original oblong mirror plate is held in a mahogany frame and is adjusted by a rise and fall action sash mechanism (the same a sash windows).
The mirror frame is held between a pair of upright supports that have a pair of turned cross rails and urn shaped finials at the top and stand on four sabre legs with square brass toes and casters.
The cheval mirror is in good original condition, the rise and fall mechanism works fine and the mirror plate has some minor spotting. (Circa 1800)
