Georgian elm dresser base.

Object Description

A large Welsh Geo III elm dresser base, the top with cleated front edge and sides. Four drawers above a straight frieze, three square front legs the centre of which has chamfered sides, down to a potboard and short feet. A useful piece of furniture, ideal for a hall or to serve from.

Object History

The dresser comes from Radnorshire in Wales and is dated 1780.

Object Condition

Unusual to be all in elm and a fine rich colour, in good condition throughout, the handles are old but are replacements.
