Object Description
Georgian hair and ruby memorial ring. Set with a border of thirty two cushion shape French cut natural enhanced rubies in closed back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, encircling an oval crystal plaque covering an elaborately braided lock of hair, flanked by scrolling split shoulders and flowing through to a solid slim V-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, English, circa 1760.
This Georgian ring is a particularly fine and rare example of a memorial ring, in exceptional condition.
