Object Description

A Fine Quality Late 18th Century, Georgian, Sheraton Period, Mahogany Occasional Lamp Table, Having Rectangular Hinged Lift Up Lid Enclosing Storage Compartment, Over One False Drawer And One Actual Drawer With Fitted Divisions, Raised On Elegant Square Tapered Legs, United By Concave Sided Undertier, With Original Brass Castors.

This sweet little table is surprisingly good quality. The cabinet maker has gone to great lengths, ensuring they use highly figured, flame mahogany veneers for the drawer fronts even mahogany again for the secondary timbers. The top is framed, therefore there has been very little shrinkage, movement or bowing, another sign of a high end cabinet makers work.

The table is a charming, sweet size, suited to wide variety of different uses, in a wide variety of different spaces around the home and boasts good flexible storage options. Also the fact that it is finished nicely all of the way around, means its just as suited to stand centrally in a room as it is against a wall.

As with all items we offer for sale it has received an inspection and natural wax polish from our highly skilled, traditional antique furniture restorers before being offered for sale, meaning that it is ready for immediate placement into the home or office.
