Object Description
Georgian Mahogany Brass Bound Writing Slope with its original slope baton and two-part blue velvet writing surface. The cartouche on the top of the lid has been left blank and there is a key for the main lock. There is a hidden side drawer and four secret drawers located under the ink wells, covered by a panel. When open this slope can also be used as a reading lectern by using the brass angle-stay on the inside edge to keep the top at the right angle.
