Georgian mahogany cellarette.

Object Description

An unusual Geo III mahogany table cellarette, the ormolu handle above two slides which open to reveal a baize lined interior with four original glass decanters complete with their stoppers. The sides and back have plain mahogany veneers but the front has contrasting veneers with a plum pudding square centre panel. The base is reeded on three sides. English Circa 1790.

Object Condition

The cellarette is in good country house condition, there are one or two pieces of replaced veneer on the front as can be seen by the photo and one of the compartments is missing its baize lining.
