Georgian mahogany extending dining table.

Object Description

A Georgian mahogany extending dining table. The drop leaf main table stands on a centre column with four splay reeded legs and brass castors and is supported by an underframe(see photo). With the side flaps down the table is 45×30 ins, flaps up 45×56, with one leaf in 45×75 and with both leaves in 45×94. The table has a moulded edge and retains it’s two original leaves and brass clips to secure them.

Object Condition

Good colour and condition, has for some time been used fully extended so the leaves are the same colour. An adaptable table that could seat 12 people when fully extended. English Circa 1820.
