Mahogany Longcase by Thomas Morgan, Edinburgh
Fine mahogany case standing on bracket feet with canted reeded corners. Long break arch trunk door, swan neck pediment, reeded pillars with brass capitals to either side of the hood door.
Silvered dial with beautiful engraving, Roman numerals, subsidiary dial for seconds and calendar aperture original ‘blued’ steel hands signed Thomas Morgan, Edinburgh.
Eight day weight driven movement with anchor escapement striking the hours on a large bell. C.1800
