Georgian Miniature Sampler, 1817, by E Garwood. The sampler is worked in silk threads on a linen ground, mainly in cross stitch. Simple line border. Colours . Alphabets A-Z in upper case and lower case and numbers 0-9. Signed and dated, ‘E GARWOOD 1817’. Framed in an old wood frame with rippled, old glass. Mounting: The sampler is loose mounted onto card and sealed with tape at the back.. Dimensions exclude the frame and slip.
