Object Description
Fine small size early 19th century Regency mahogany “finished all round” centre or side table attributed to Gillows of Lancaster. This beautiful centre table is finished all round with a full depth drawer to the front side which is mahogany lined with original gilded brass star handles. The back side has a matching dummy drawer also with the original gilded brass star handles. The base has a lovely shape turned and reeded column with swept out reeded legs with round shape toes. The round toes have sunken in brass castors underneath. The top has a rosewood cross banding with a half round “Knurled” decoration around the edge. The table is in very good condition and is a lovely mellow colour. The brass castors are old Edwardian replacements (the originals obviously wore out) but are the correct type and of good quality.
