Gilt bronze and Sèvres style porcelain clock garniture

This exceptional clock set is a remarkable example of 19th Century French craftsmanship, featuring wonderfully finished gilt bronze and exquisitely decorated porcelain. The set is comprised of a clock and a pair of candelabra. The central clock with gilt bronze framed table-form base, standing on four porcelain legs, centred by the ‘jewelled’ porcelain dial depicting two cherubs. The clock case is surmounted by a conforming vase with twin scrolling ormolu handles, terminating in female heads. The Sèvres style porcelain decorated on a light blue ground and the vase centred by a scene with female figures and cherubs. The pair of flanking five light candelabra similarly decorated with four lower scrolling branches and one higher central branch.
