Gilt bronze three-piece clock set by Raingo Frères and Henri Picard

This exceptional 19th century clock set comprises of three pieces crafted from gilt bronze: a central mantel clock flanked by a pair of candelabra in the Rococo style.
The mantel clock sits on eight feet and is supported by an architecturally shaped base, which features fine foliate and scrolling details. Its circular white enamel dial is centrally placed, and the case is decorated with further floral and foliate detailing, as well as two reclining cherubs. It is topped with an elaborate floral spray.
The candelabra feature similar bases, sitting on six feet, with each candelabrum stem formed as a kneeling cherub holding eight scrolled branches.
This particular set was crafted by famed French bronze maker Henri Picard (fl. 1831-1864), in collaboration with Raingo Frères, the prestigious clockmakers.
The dial is signed ‘Raingo Fres / A Paris’, and each piece in the set are individually stamped ‘H. Picard’.
