Object Description
This Provincial West county lace trefid was made by John Murch in Plymouth/Tiverton C1699 and measures just over 8 inches in length, it has pin pricking to the back of the stem of HS over MW 1700 and towards the bottom of the stem it has the makers mark and Britannia tamped into it. To the front of the spoon it has lacing to the top of the trefid stem and has a well formed bowl with a rat tail to the back, the bowl itself is of good gauge and shape and it is in excellent condition weighing 1.65 ounces or 52 grams.
