Object Description
This good quality armorial Victorian silver salver was made in London in 1897 by Garrards and measures 12 1/8 inches in dia, it has a wavy double bead border and to the centre is the coat of arms of the Mercers Company and the bannered motto Honor Deo – it stands on 3 cast ball and claw feet and bears the inscription Presented by The Mercers Company in commemoration of the 60th year of the reign of Queen Victoria 1897. It is in very good condition weighing 29.15 ounces or 907 grams.
