Object Description
This good quality James I silver apostle spoon was made in London in 1612 by William Cawdell and measures 71/8 inches in length and has a very well defined St Matthew atop the stem, it is fully and clearly hallmarked to the back of the stem and inside the bowl with the leopards head, it also bears the pin prick initials H over WM 1644 to the back of the bowl, the bowl being of good gauge and shape. A super apostle spoon in very good condition weighing 1.95 ounces or 60 grams.
