Object Description
This very nice Queen Anne Britannia silver porringer was made in London in 1705 by William Charnelhouse and measures 3.75 inches tall by 6.75 inches handle to handle, 4 1/8 inches in dia across the top and 2.5 inches across the base, it has spiral fluting to the bottom third of the body, a rope design band below the hallmarking and to the front a large embossed and engraved cartouche bearing the initials D over W*A in the centre, it has a scrolled arm either side and is fully hallmarked to the side, a very nice porringer in very good condition weighing 6.15 ounces or 191 grams.
