Object Description
This set of 4 cast George II silver salt spoons were made C1740 probably by Wm Hutchinson II, they measure 3 7/8 inches in length and have shell bowls with scrolled acanthus leaf terminal, they bear the engraved initials of eh to the base of the stem on the reverse and are hallmarked with the lion passant and makers marks, they also bear the scrolling initials of MAN inside the bowls, one has an old repair but difficult to spot otherwise they are in very good condition.
