Object Description
This set of 6 George II Scottish silver Hanoverian table or soup spoons were made in Edinburgh in 1745 by Robert Gordon and Hugh Gordon as assay master, they measure 8 3/16 inches in length and have no crests or engravings, they have a facet heel to the backs of the bowls and they are fully hallmarked to the backs of the stems in varying degrees of clarity, the bowls are of good gauge and well formed and they are in very good condition weighing 13 ounces or 405 grams.
