Object Description
An 1890s Gorge-styled French carriage clock with a gong-striking and repeating 8-day movement, complete with original leather carrying case.
The gilded case has a large rectangular glass in the top, to view the original silvered jewelled lever platform escapement. The gilding has a bright finish, and is in perfect condition.
The original white enamel dial has Roman numerals and fine blued steel Breguet style hands.
The movement is numbered 1332, and the leather case is also stamped with the same number.
The bevelled glasses to all sides are in perfect condition.
