Object Description
A delightful obelisk in Italian marble and serpentine, dating to circa 1840. Items such as this were the original ‘present’ from abroad, to show the owner’s taste, culture and wealth. In pinky and grey marble, on a black marble base, with serpentine cubic column and a stepped grey and white marble base, this obelisk tells a story of a different era.
