Object Description

Ca. 200 BC

Perhaps from Centurpipe, Sicily. The woman is depicted wearing a chiton, her body twisting to the right, her head thrown back, and turning sharply to her right. Left leg raised behind her, arms positioned out before her, red painted hair tied in a chignon that preserves blue and pink pigments, on a reel-shaped base original to the figure.
