Object Description
An exceptional, ancient Greek, terracotta seated female figure. The woman is dressed in a himation with her hair delicately arranged in an updo with the front portion of hair framing the face. She is sat, slouching against a high chair with her left arm resting on the top of the chair and her right hand on her lap. Her body is therefore slightly tilted to the left. The figure is hollow with a triangular vent at the centre of the reverse.
