Object Description
Gubelin Colombian emerald and diamond ring. Set with a rectangular step cut natural Colombian emerald with minor oil in an open back corner claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.80 carats, flanked by six horizontally set rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover channel settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.00 carats, to a structured linear design with curving claws, an openwork gallery and intricate rectangular backholing, flanked by heavy stepped shoulders tapering down to a solid flat shank. Marked platinum, maker’s mark for Gubelin, engraved ‘1923-30 Juillet-1943’, Swiss, circa 1943, accompanied by Gubelin box and SSEF report #144348.
