Object Description

Gustafsberg Majolica vase which features grape vines. Colouration: cobalt blue, green, pink, are predominant. The piece bears maker’s marks for the Gustafsberg pottery. Book reference not found.

Object Condition

Good. Very slight wear to the rim. Some wear and light scratches to the exterior. KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the rim; thin glaze application to the grapes and under rim; glaze run to the brown glazes; notable crazing; glaze pops to the leaves; piece of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the upper base. RESTORATION: stem reglued and join retouched.
