Object Description

A lovely large Hallmarked sterling silver beaker specially made for George VI coronation in 1936 by Dodd and son of Cornhill London. This beaker which is large and heavy with a capacity of 450 ml is engraved with 12 May 1937 below which is a royal crown and cypher. Around the beaker is engraved “Here’s a Health unto his Majesty “. George VI was crowned on 12 May 1937. Dimensions, 10.5×8.9cms, Weight, 7.84Troy oz.
