Object Description

A very good well made hallmarked sterling silver cow cream jug /creamer.
The cavity below the lid is filled with cream which is then poured through the cow’s mouth , using the curled tail as a handle.
This cream jug which is in excellent condition is of traditional form and is beautifully hand chased.
The cow creamer which dates back to the mid Eighteenth century ,was made famous by P G Wodehouse in his book Jeeves and Wooster.
Dimensions, length 15.25 cm.
Weight, 5.25 troy oz.
