This excellent antique wool rug is a Persian Kerman Rug, woven by hand in the 1880s. The central design has been woven with a bold colour palette including pink, blue, brown and cream. It features a floral design that has been woven symmetrically in a repeating pattern. With bird motifs in the corners and a border that frames the design.
This Persian carpet was woven in Iran by the Afshar village weavers. Woven with the finest locally sourced materials. Hand-spun wool has been dyed with organic vegetable dyeing techniques to create the vibrant colour palette, it has then been hand-knotted with traditional techniques that have been used for generations.
In excellent condition, ready for use in any home.
