Object History

This piece is a Bidjar Rug, Bidjar (Bijar) rugs predominantly come from village weaving workshops in the Northwest of Iran, where the population is majority Kurdish with many settlers from the Afshari tribe. The raw materials used are of the finest quality, with only the best hand-spun wool and cotton which have been dyed with organic dyeing techniques and delicately woven on looms to create this elegant piece.
