Object Description
Circa 1960, large, handmade dining table or boardroom table in finest quality oak by Colin ‘Beaverman’ Almack of Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe. The 5-plank, 4cm thick hand-adzed top is supported at each end on twin Gothic pillars over shaped plinths, one with a beaver carving. This is further supported by a full-length stretcher. The trademark beaver is on each Beaver piece of furniture and Colin Almack is one of the ‘Yorkshire Critters’ who trained under Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson.
