This has then been surrounded by a decorative repeat pattern featuring animal and tribal motifs and a repeat pattern border. Object History

The Qashqai tribe are the second largest Turkic group in Iran. The Qashqai is located in the Fars province close to Shiraz and Persepolis in South-West Iran. Their rugs are known for there fine wool rugs and decorative geometric rugs.
The raw materials used are of the finest quality, with only the best hand-spun wool and cotton which have been dyed with organic dyeing techniques and delicately woven on looms to create this elegant piece.
