Object History

Constructed with fine hand-spun wool in Central Asia in Kohtan, an old Iranian Saka Buddhist Kingdom on a branch of the silk road, by master weavers. Known for their elegant village designs. The colours come from natural dyeing techniques which have been used for generations. Hand-knotted with a low/flat pile making them hard-wearing and so suitable for any high traffic interior, this piece is sure to last for decades if cared for correctly.

Object Condition

This piece is in good condition, with a great wool pile and vivid colours that look as though they were dyed yesterday. Ready for use in any home.
