Object Description
A finely modelled Ancient Greek Hellenistic elaborate gold pendant. The jewel features a tubular shank with four radiating gold spheres decorated with applied gold wire and featuring pyramidal clusters of fine granulation to the top and bottom. Pearls and flat disc pale blue glass beads further embellish this intricately decorated pendant at the top, to the bottom a golden flat foot bead featuring a filigree frame and a larger pearl. A loop for suspension to the top. A truly marvellous example of the high skilled gold smithery in Ancient Greece during the Hellenistic period. Weight: 3.34 g.
