Object Description
A fine Hepplewhite Period Mahogany Salon Armchair in the French manner, the oval back with carved paterae and moulded, scrolling swept arms over the serpentine fronted upholstered seat raised on paterae carved, stylised acanthus leaf carved, fluted turned legs terminating in turned feet. The back legs are finished to the same detail as the front legs which is an important indicator of the quality of this outstanding example.
