Object Description
A charming gold squirrel brooch by Hermès c.1960s, the three-dimensional brooch finely modelled in 18ct yellow gold as a squirrel sat on a branch holding a nut between its paws, the body and large upright tail carefully textured to depict the fur and the eye set with a single faceted ruby, all to a double pin brooch fitting. This delightful squirrel is bright and alert, paused on his branch before tucking into the nut clutched tightly between his paws. The gold has been beautifully textured on both the squirrel and the branch and he is sure to attract attention when taken out and about on a shoulder or lapel.
