Object Description
Highest quality 18th century George 3rd mahogany chest of drawers possibly by Gillows of Lancaster or similar. Two over four drawer configuration. The drawers with cock beaded edges and original early brass locks and original swan neck brass handles. The drawers are all mahogany lined using mahogany of un-believable quality (what a waste !!!!). The chest has typical 18th century mouldings to the top and base with original bracket style feet.
The chest is a nice mellow colour. It is so heavy even I can’t lift it with the drawers inside. If you require a nice chest of this size you can’t go wrong with this example.
