Object Description
A highly decorative late 19th century (circa 1870) Venetian pine putto (or cherub) and shell Grotto stool with adjustable seat.
The stool consists of a carved scallop shell seat which is adjustable and revolving, this rests on the shoulders of the carved putto.
This leads down to the base, the carved putto is kneeling on rocks and is supported by a circular carved base.
This stool is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
